A Life Story of Serving the Persecuted Church
I have known Larry and Jan Winnes for about 30 years, ever since Jan began serving as the first national leader of Aglow in Czech Republic. Over the years I have been blessed each time our paths have crossed, and have witnessed first-hand their courageous faith in following God wherever He wanted to lead them. They are true modern-day disciples of Christ.
It is a joy to recommend this book. I purchased my copy on Amazon, just as I hope you will do, and from the first page to the last was engrossed in each story they shared. Each chapter is highlighted by numerous photographs that will bring you, the reader, right into the center of their amazing stories.
River of Faith is a testimony of an ordinary man and his wife who had an extraordinary journey of faith after God planted a vision in their hearts, confirmed it, and then tested their obedience to trust Him. This gripping story will encourage you either to get your feet wet or take the plunge into God’s river of faith.
Larry Winnes is president of Co-Laborers, a non-profit organization that has worked with persecuted churches around the world. Starting out smuggling Bibles in 1970 in Eastern Europe, he later worked as a field representative for Open Doors with Bother Andrew, supporting the work of encouraging Christians behind the Iron and Bamboo Curtains.
Larry and Jan served the Lord for over thirty years in Eastern Europe, Europe, former communist countries such as Russia and Ukraine, China, Mongolia, and the USA.
They now reside in Wisconsin.
